Test the connection in safe mode with network

Start your computer in safe mode with networking and test the wireless connection in Internet Explorer.
NOTE! If the connection works in safe mode, the problem is probably due to antivirus or antispyware software. Configure the program carefully according to the manufacturer's instructions.

WARNING!If you have uninstalled or disabled antivirus or antispyware software to troubleshoot the issue, Sony recommends that you enable or reinstall them to avoid the risk of malware attacks. When the application is reactivated or reinstalled, carefully configure it according to the manufacturer's instructions so that the Internet and / or network connection works properly.

Verify the router configuration
Check the router's WAN IP address according to the manufacturer's instructions.

NOTE! If the router does not get a WAN IP address, the problem is probably caused by an error with your ISP.

WARNING!There is a risk of data loss. If a router has been specially configured (PPPoe, DSL, MAC address filtering, security, etc ...) the settings are removed when the router is reset, which means you have to reconfigure it.

Install firmware updates for the router and / or modem, if any. Check for any updates or instructions on the manufacturer's website.
